KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 — Jungkook of boyband BTS made history by being the first male K-pop solo artist to win an award at the 2023 MTV Music Video Awards .featuring Latto won the award for Song of the Summer, beating nominations from hot US artists like Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, SZA, and Taylor Swift.
Jungkook was not present at the awards ceremony.Popular K-Pop girl group Blackpink also took home the award for Group of the Year and Best Choreography forDespite being nominated in several categories, the quartet did not grace the awards ceremony.and electrified the award stage with a live performance.
