BTS has sent a number of singles onto the Hot 100, but they've never placed more than one onto the listing at the same time.
, granting them their third consecutive leader on the most important albums chart in the U.S. While that is certainly reason to celebrate, the Korean septet’s performance on the Hot 100 songs ranking is perhaps even more noteworthy, as the group has managed things they’ve never done before this frame. In fact, they have done something no other K-pop act has before, helping them make history in yet another way.
The seven-member vocal group currently claims two spots on the Hot 100 this week, which is more than any other Korean group has owned, at least at the same time. First up is their current single “Boy With Luv,” which features pop singer Halsey adding a bit of English to the tune. The song, giving BTS not only their second top 10 hit but their highest placement on the listing yet.
Almost all the way down at the bottom of the Hot 100, BTS also fills another spot on the tally, as their album cut “Make It Right” debuts at No. 95. While two songs charting simultaneously might not sound like much, it now stands as the greatest number of tracks any Korean group has charted at the same time.
With two new appearances to their credit this week, BTS’ career total Hot 100 hits rises to seven. They previously sent four of their own songs as well as one single they were featured on onto the all-genre ranking. The group almost snagged more than two placements on the Hot 100 this week, as a number of songs fromBubbling Under chart, which tracks those titles that just barely missed out on landing inside the top 100. A handful placed just below No. 100, and this may be a sign that when they have another new album ready to go, they'll send at least two tracks, if not more, onto the closely-watched chart.
