K-pop royalty BTS performed on the Grammy Awards stage for the first time on Sunday, becoming the first-ever Korean act to perform at the show.
Marking their Grammy Awards performance debut on the biggest night in the music industry, the group joined rapper/singer-songwriter Lil Nas X for the song"Seoul Town Road," a remix version of"Old Town Road" released by the rapper which features a rap solo by RM , the leader of the band. The long rendition of the"Old Town Road" song saw Lil Nas X in a glittery cowboy outfit walking across a revolving stage to join different artists for a portion of the song.
The musical trek began with Lil Nas X strumming away at a guitar on his own before joining BTS, who were singing and dancing in their seats and later on their feet. The rapper then joined DJ/songwriter Diplo and 13-year-old singer Mason Ramsey as well as singer-songwriter Billy Ray Cyrus, BTS briefly reappeared to join Cyrus. Rapper Nas took to the stage for the finale of the track.
