The move is just the latest domino to fall as major automakers and charger-makers adopt the North American Vehicle Standard car auto cars
One of the largest charger manufacturers in the USA, BTC Power is going to add Tesla’s charging standard to its products starting next year. It’s only the latest big name to adapt to the North American Charging Standard used byBased in Santa Ana, California, privately owned BTC Power has sold over 22,000 chargers. More than half of those chargers are of the high-speed variety that EV users prefer. Among its many clients are big names like Amazon, 7-Eleven, Ford, and Electrify America.
Beginning in 2024 it’ll add Tesla’s NACS to its products in an effort to widen its net and draw in more customers. It’s the fourth major charger manufacturer to do so after ABB E-mobility North America, Tritium DCFC, and SK Signet.
