Diplomats say there has been no meaningful progress this week.

And trying hard but not succeeding to deflect on ‘Westmonster’ which I fear the SNP rifled from us in London and not aware that apart from Demented Donal and F**ked Up Florin everybody else has given up on the ‘Priscilla’ gag.If the EU cannot provide a legally binding assurance that the backstop can be terminated by either side after an agreed period of time, then it does not want a deal.Personally I would prefer the UK left on WTO trading terms.

There are clear political reasons why the EU would not want a deal with the UK on fair terms…The EU is a political top-down structure which cannot tolerate dissent, or even asking it’s people for their direct democratic approval. Therefore when a significant member does ask it’s people directly & receives a negative response, the EU – like any institution defending it’s interests – needs to show the others there are terrible consequences to leaving..to deter the others from doing the same.

His job is not to follow instruction from parliament but interpret the law and any consequences for the UK, then advise accordingly, which he has done once already.Another suffering from CCL delusions about WTO. Why don’t you have a chat with the guys in Geneva. I’m sure they’d be only too glad to wise you up.
