A four-time Pro Bowler, Chubb will be heading into the final season of his contract in 2024 with a cap charge of $16.2 million, which is near the top of the NFL. But only $4 million of that — his prorated signing bonus — would count against the cap in the event he was no longer on the roster. He must play with all the poise he did at Clemson, where he won a national championship in 2016, and in Houston, where he earned three Pro Bowl berths.
Watson has enough playmakers on the team that he doesn’t have to do it all himself. He needs to get the ball in the hands of his playmakers, and let them shine.
