Photo by Daniel Zuchnik/Getty ImagesOn Saturday the Brooklyn Nets' will visit the Philadelphia 76ers in their first playoff game since the 2014-2015 season. It's been a long road back for the franchise on the court, with the team rebuilding and recovering from the calamitous Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett trade with Boston.

"To be where we are today with just an incredible improvement over last year and certainly the year before, shows fans that there’s a bright future here," the 51-year-old said. Brooklyn is trying to capitalize on that with its Bet On Brooklyn campaign as a call to action for fans to get in on the team while they're on the upswing.

Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell, just 23, was named to his first NBA All-Star team this year and has quickly become a rising marketable star. "There’s not a silver bullet, but I think it’s a combination of a lot of things," said Yormark, who's been with the Nets since 2005."D’Angelo Russell is becoming one of the sports faces of New York. He’s got the most Instagram followers of any athlete in New York.

Led by the Notorious B.I.G. inspired City Edition Coogi sweater jerseys, Nets retail per caps were up over 41% year over year, with overall sales up 26%.
