On the real last day of training camp, the Broncos’ run of injury woes at wide receiver continued.Jerry Jeudy, the 2020 first-round pick out of Alabama, took an end-around during a team period against the Los Angeles Rams but pulled up along the sideline and grabbed at his right hamstring.
Jeudy was helped away from the fans in attendance by trainers and the got a cart ride to the Denver locker room. On the way, he held both of his hands around his right leg above his knee. The severity of the injury was not immediately known. Broncos head coach Sean Payton is slated to speak with reporters after practice, as are Denver’s coordinators.
Jeudy, 24, was the No. 15 pick overall in the 2020 draft. He used a strong finishing kick to the 2022 season to make it his best as a professional so far, finishing with 67 catches for 972 yards and six touchdowns. That prompted the Broncos to exercise his fifth-year option for 2024, guaranteeing him $12.987 million next year before he would be set to reach free agency.
