PETALING JAYA: A fire at Broga Hill in Semenyih was successfully extinguished after four hours on Monday (Sept 16).
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail, when contacted Tuesday , confirmed the incident, adding that the forest near the peaks of Broga Hill had caught fire on Monday.
"About 1.5ha of forest was burned and immediate action was taken to prevent it from spreading to the nearby areas,"he said. Semenyih fire station chief Mohamad Darul Azreen Md Desa said that firefighters arrived at the scene at round 4.41pm. "The firefighters there then used the RECEO method to combat the flame until it was completely extinguished.Stay tuned for a new offer coming to you soon.
