Brittany Smith, Alabama woman who killed alleged rapist, jailed for ‘fraternizing’ with man in rehab

A Jackson County woman who served jail time for killing a man accused of raping her is now back in jail after authorities say she violated her parole during drug rehabilitation.

Brittany Joyce Smith, 35, was taken into custody at Jackson County Jail last Thursday to serve a 15-day probation violation sentence for failing to complete a drug rehabilitation program. According to court documents, Smith was discharged from drug rehab for possessing a cell phone and “fraternizing with a male in the program.”

Smith had requested to enter rehab.
