LONDON, July 6 — Britain will offer its largest ever expansion of traineeships, its finance ministry said yesterday, ahead of a highly-anticipated update due later in the week on the government's support for the economy through the coronavirus crisis. On Tuesday Prime Minister Boris Johnson promised to shake Britain's economy out of its coronavirus-induced crisis by fast-tracking infrastructure investment and slashing property planning rules.
He will announce a £111 million investment to triple the number of traineeships, the finance ministry said, adding that businesses would get a £1,000 bonus for everyone they offer a work experience placement.
