Bring own containers for takeaways at Ramadan bazaars, urges Perak exco member

IPOH: The state government is encouraging patrons visiting Ramadan bazaars to bring their own containers for takeaways, says Sandrea Ng Shy Ching.

The Perak local government committee chairman said, however, many people may find it troublesome to bring their own containers, as they would have extra dishes to wash.“For instance, for those who bring their own containers, maybe certain discounts can be offered.

She said the landfills were also in a critical condition, and they were hoping to start such awareness at Ramadan bazaars.“The Ipoh City Council is creating this awareness this time around, and I hope the other local councils in the state will follow suit,” she added.
