Mikal Bridges scored a season-high 41 points, leading the New York Knicks to a 117-114 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Despite Victor Wembanyama 's 42-point Christmas debut, a new Spurs record, the Knicks clinched their fifth consecutive win. Wembanyama recorded 18 rebounds, four assists, and four blocked shots, while Bridges shot an impressive 17 for 25 from the field. Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points and nine rebounds, and Jalen Brunson contributed 20 points for the Knicks .
In the other Christmas Day game, Anthony Edwards led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 105-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Despite Luka Doncic's 14 points before exiting the game with a strained left calf, the Timberwolves held on for the win. Kyrie Irving scored 39 points for the Mavericks
