As part of San Francisco’s efforts to cut homelessness crisis in half in the next five years, Mayor London Breed unveiled new budget investments on Tuesday that would add 600 new shelter beds and 545 new permanent housing placements for The City’s unhoused residents.

The proposal's 545 housing placements would be divided into three categories: 340 rapid rehousing projects, 120 shallow subsidies, and 75 permanent support housing projects.
