President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria .
In a statement, Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesman, noted that Arabi will be in charge of NAHCON for an initial term of four years. He said President Tinubu directed the outgoing Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, to embark on a three-month pre-retirement leave under Public Service Rule 120243.Alhaji Arabi will assume his new role as the acting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON on October 18, 2023, and is slated to continue serving in a substantive capacity for a fresh four-year term starting from January 17, 2024.
