The Constitutional Court has dismissed uMkhonto WeSizwe Party’s application to interdict the first sitting of parliament on Friday.
, the apex court said the party did not produce “facts to establish a prima facie case in respect of the relief it will seek.”
On Monday, the party released a statement saying it planned to apply to the Constitutional Court to interdict the first sitting of Parliament. Nhlamulo Ndhela, speaking for the MK Party, told the media that their court papers include evidence that explains why the sitting should be postponed. Former president Jacob Zuma’s party deserves praise for its performance in the 2024 general election.
