The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to 10 members of the #endbadgovernance protesters.The protesters are accused of attempting to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.The protesters were granted bail in the sum of N10 million each, with stringent conditions.Justice Emeka Nwite, who delivered the ruling on Wednesday, ordered the protesters to produce one surety each in the same amount.

Justice Nwite rejected the objections of the Inspector General of Police against the bail request and ordered the defendants not to participate in any public rally throughout their trial.The accused persons were remanded in prison custody pending the perfection of their bail conditions. Their trial is set to commence on September 27.The protesters were accused of committing treasonable offences during their one-week nationwide protests in August.
