Nigerian activist Vincent Martis Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man, has been granted bail with his trial adjourned to December 16, 2024.Very Dark Man faced arraignment on Wednesday at the Federal High Court in Abuja, where he was charged with five counts of cyberstalking related to the Nigeria police and Nollywood actresses Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dike. The activist pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Although the prosecution sought to have Very Dark Man remanded in prison custody, his legal team successfully argued for his remand in police custody instead. Consequently, the court granted this request, and the activist was taken to the National Cybercrime Centre. After the adjournment, the court has now granted bail to Very Dark Man, and the trial has been rescheduled to December 16, 2024.

The forthcoming trial in December is expected to continue to draw substantial interest from both the public and the media.Very Dark man has been released 🚨!!! Brace up everyone !! It’s time to learn the hard way 😂🔥 pic.twitter.com/IC6caHM9jt
