This is one of those gems that once you discover them, you never let them go.

Ceege, you might also check your local Costco. Mine is now carrying 2 pound bags of chia seeds for $14 which is a steal. You can also find Bob's Red Mill brand at a completive price at amazon.com.The chia seeds are available from Thrive Market, an online market that is a great resource for ingredients that are some time hard to find locally.

Boosted Jook Recipe on Food52Boosted Jook Recipe on Food52Jook, a Chinese rice soup also known as congee, is one of the first foods I turn to when I feel my immune system could use a little boost. Simmered with fresh ginger, which adds flavor and curative properties, this jook can take on a range of textures, from very broth-y to quite thick; you can control the amount of water you add to get the consistency you like.. I like mine on the thicker side, like oatmeal, but kind of soupy. The range of toppings is up to you, too. My classic trio is soy sauce, white pepper, and green onions, but I also like to use fresh cilantro and maybe some fresh spinach, too. Pretty much anything in your kitchen is a candidate to be a jook topping: eggs, meat, vegetables, herbs, spices. I don't just limit my consumption of jook to when I'm under the weather -- it's one of my favorite things to have for breakfast.

Sesame Chicken with Radicchio & Orange Salad Recipe on Food52Sesame Chicken with Radicchio & Orange Salad Recipe on Food52This idea stems from the Chinese takeout staple of the same name, but the resemblance stops there. Pound chicken breasts until thin, coat in sesame seeds, and pan-fry until crispy. Top with a juicy radicchio and orange salad. And done! If you want a slightly heartier meal, serve with something like bread, rice, or beans.

Spicy, Braised Chicken Lettuce Wraps Recipe on Food52Spicy, Braised Chicken Lettuce Wraps Recipe on Food52Meet my new favorite go-to weeknight dinner. It's saucy, flavorful, fresh, and it comes together in about half an hour. I developed these chicken and lettuce wraps while on Whole 30, so they fit that bill if you need 'em to. Or, feel free to swap the toppings for anything you like—crispy rice would be wonderful. So would almost any herb, pickle, or thinly sliced vegetable. Winner, winner, braised-chicken-thigh dinner.

Chicken and Salad Milanese Style Recipe on Food52Chicken and Salad Milanese Style Recipe on Food52Excerpted with permission from Dorie Greenspan's Everyday Dorie: My friend Tony Fortuna’s restaurant, TBar, is the kind of place you could go to every day, and many people do—it’s beloved on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. I go there often, and many times, despite all the terrific dishes and the seasonal specials, I end up ordering the Chicken Milanese. I can’t resist the combination of a perfectly breaded, perfectly sautéed chicken breast—in culinary terms, “Milanese” means breaded and sautéed—topped with a bright, citrusy salad and served with a wedge of lemon, just in case you want more tang. At TBar, the chicken is pounded as thin as an old-school long-playing record; it’s as round as one too. I’ve never been able to come close to TBar’s thinness and circularity, but the spirit of the dish is easy to recreate, and the pleasure is the same even if the aesthetics aren’t.
