Brazil re-enlists Cuba doctors to fight Covid-19 surge

BRAZIL yesterday re-enlisted more than 150 Cuban doctors to help fight a surge in coronavirus cases, 1½ years after Havana ended a medical assistance programme over a row with Jair Bolsonaro. The doctors, who had opted to stay in Brazil after the Cuban government pulled the plug on the programme that sent them, received new medical licences from the Brazilian Health Ministry under a scheme to round up reinforcements for the overstretched health system.
