Calvin Law faces a minimum sentence of 20 years in state prison.
A Mobile man is facing from 20 years to life in prison after a Mobile County jury found him guilty of two counts of sodomizing a child under the age of 12.
“Cases that involve any level of harm to a child are reprehensible,” said district attorney Keith Blackwood. “We will do everything the law allows us to do to ensure those who commit such outrageous crimes against children are held accountable.” Law is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 16. In addition to a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years , Law is also subject to a fine of up to $60,000 and, if ultimately released from prison, 10 years of post-release supervision.
