Before the end of his first start, San Antonio quarterback Reid Sinnett was sidelined by a broken foot, dealing another blow to the 1-4 Brahmas.

Just three quarters later, Sinnett was watching the game in street clothes and a medical boot, knocked out by a broken right foot that required surgery Tuesday morning. “Getting the opportunity to be out there like I was, and feeling like I was able to contribute and be a difference-maker on the field, it’s what I wanted all season,” Sinnett said after the game. “Having something freaky happen, a noncontact injury, and not be able to stand on it, it’s tough.”
Checking into the game again for the first drive of the second half, Sinnett drove San Antonio 44 yards, crossing into Arlington territory. But as he let go of an interception on an underthrown corner pattern from the 25-yard line, Sinnett absorbed a shove from a defensive lineman and stumbled backward.
Running back Jacques Patrick said Sinnett’s experience with three NFL franchises provided him the veteran intelligence to adjust San Antonio into strong positions.
