Officials of the Boys Scouts of the Philippines had to cut short the activities of the provincial scout jamboree in San Antonio, Zambales due to the threat of Super Typhoon BettyPH.
More than 2,000 students from different schools in the province who attended the event went home on Friday , a day earlier than the scheduled closing ceremony of the five-day event on Saturday.The annual provincial scout jamboree was held in this town after three years that it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier on Friday, the local government of this town also conducted pre-disaster risk assessment to prepare and ensure the safety of the residents.
