A 10-year-old boy who was seriously injured in a Gold Coast helicopter crash that killed his mother has suffered another tragic setback in his recovery.

The impact tore both rotors from the ascending chopper and sent it crashing into a sandbank, killing Ms Tadros, Mr Jenkinson and the couple from the United Kingdom.
