On 12 April, a boy in Singapore had apparently gone into an empty bus operated by A&S Transport and went on a joyride for about 5 hours before being arrested., this incident occurred in the wee hours of the morning, and the boy went through Tampines, Bedok, Pasir Ris, and Punggol.
It is estimated that his routes amounted to about 100 kilometres as he had used up a quarter of the diesel tank. It is unknown how old this boy is but he certainly does not seem to be at the age where he knows how to drive! As he was being pursued by the police, he might have accidentally damaged the bus when moving away from them. At one point in time, he abandoned the vehicle.Well, it’s safe to say that the boy was apprehended by police officers soon after. Thankfully, no one was hurt in this ordeal.A&S Transit has issued a statement on its“The issue involves a minor and we do not wish for any undue stress on the person, taking into consideration that it is approaching the school examinations period.
They continued: “While we do not condone the action of the minor, we hope to support the person and any youth by guiding them to express their passion in healthy ways.” The bus operating company ended the post by asking members of the public to “not fan speculations any further.”
