Heartland Queens of Owerri and Delta Queens recorded their first wins, yesterday, at the ongoing Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament holding in Benin.
Heartland FC restored parity in the 28th minute of the match and got the winner a few minutes into halftime. The competition continues today with Remo Star Ladies in a crunch battle with Edo Queens at the UNIBEN Sports Complex, while Royal Queens and Fortress Ladies will meet at Western Boys College. Organisers of the yearly Government College Ughelli Relays have said that their fundamental objective is the development of outstanding secondary school athletes from the inter-collegiate track and field competition to become top stars for the nation.
