Both sides of I-805 reopen after man on Adams Avenue overpass detained by police [Breaking]
Both directions of Interstate 805 were shut down for nearly an hour Wednesday morning after a man on the Adams Avenue overpass in San Diego threatened to jump, officials said.
The man was detained by police around 7:35 a.m. and California Highway Patrol officers began reopening the freeway, officials said. The incident began around 6:45 a.m. when drivers began calling 911 to report seeing a man on the Adams Avenue overpass who was straddling the fence.CHP officers began diverting cars off the freeway and a traffic alert was issued at 7:07 a.m. with both northbound and southbound lanes closed.
