Book that ‘insults’ Jata Negara banned
The cover of Rebirth: Reformasi, Resistance, And Hope in New Malaysia taken from a painting featured in a 2014 exhibition. – Gerakbudaya pic, July 1, 2020.Its minister, Hamzah Zainudin, said in a statement that the book – a collection of political essays titled Rebirth: Reformasi, Resistance, And Hope In New Malaysia – fell afoul of the Printing Presses and Publications Order 2020 and, with the authority conferred upon him under the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984, banned it.
