A fan poster for The Book of Boba Fett combines all of the flashbacks seen from Boba's childhood in the Disney+ series. Boba Fett first appeared in live-action in The Empire Strikes Back with Jeremy Bulloch behind the helmet. Daniel Logan then took over the character in Star Wars: Episode II- Attack of the Clones, playing a young version of the iconic bounty hunter.
Even though later episodes of The Book of Boba Fett focused on Din Djarin, early episodes revealed how Boba escaped the Sarlacc Pit and what he had been doing since the events of Return of the Jedi. The first few episodes showed Boba Fett training with Tusken Raiders and also featured flashbacks taking place during the prequel era. Finnegan Garay was cast as a body double for young Boba, meaning Disney is likely using the same technology to de-age Logan as they did with Mark Hamill.
Including more prequel flashbacks could have helped The Book of Boba Fett, but it also could have caused more problems for the show. The prequels had been strongly criticized but have been more appreciated in recent years, especially after the sequel trilogy. On the other hand, The Book of Boba Fett already didn't focus on Boba's present-day story for two whole episodes, so including more flashbacks than what made it into the show could have drawn more criticism than praise.
