PARIS: Atlet paralimpik negara, Bonnie Bunyau Gustin memahat rekod dunia baharu selepas melakukan angkatan 232 kilogram dalam acara powerlifting dalam kelas 72kg di Sukan Paralimpik Paris 2024, semalam.
Bonnie yang turun selaku pemegang rekod dunia di Emiriah Arab Bersatu , mendahului saingan sejak daripada angkatan pertama dengan dia bermula dengan angkatan 221, 226, 232kg. “Saya gembira apabila dapat mengekalkan status sebagai pemenang pingat emas Paralimpik dan lebih baik lagi apabila mencipta rekod dunia baharu di sini.Tempat kedua milik atlet dari China Hu Peng dengan angkatan 214kg manakala gangsa dimenangi Donato Telesca, Itali .
