Two Filipinos were jailed 12 months and fined RM2,000 or spend two months in prison each for having bombed fish.
Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan meted out the sentence to Mawali Jirin, 44, and Jimboy Mawalik, 29, who pleaded guilty separately to the charge read in Bajau Suluk language against them.Mawali and Jimboy were found having the eight fish caught using explosives at 9.45am on July 11 this year inside a boat at the Serusop waters in Tuaran.
