A bomb threat disrupted classes at New Era Elementary School in Quezon City early Monday morning.A teacher received the bomb threat around 5:30 a.m., according to a report by Allan Gatus on Super Radyo dzBB.
Even students at the high school department were asked to go home while the Quezon City Police District personnel conducted inspection in the campus.
QCPD director Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torres III said no bomb was found after the inspection.During a press conference, Philippine National Police chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr.
Azurin expressed hope the National Capital Region Police Office would adopt the practice of Police Regional Office 4A where police personnel were the ones hoisting the flag during flag raising ceremonies in schools. “So nakikita po ng ating mga estudyante na may presensya ang pulis sa kanilang school so they can approach, call for police assistance any time within the school hours,” he said.—Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA Integrated News
