Breaking local news in Boksburg
A handful of people, who were once on the wrong side of the law, spent February 6 cleaning up around the Boksburg SPCA.
From 08:00, the parolees were at the SPCA ready with black bags and gardening tools to pick up litter and cut the grass around the society's pound house, where its staff members live. The area outside the SPCA was also cleaned. Representatives from the Benoni-based NPC Etwatwa Greening team assisted the parolees with the clean-up.
One of the parolees, who wished to remain anonymous, said he has been out on parole for about four months now. He was convicted of robbery.
