The members of the CPF did a food and blanket drive whereby they asked community members to show support by donating items to help their furry friends. Sue Beadon, the secretary of the SPCA, thanked the CPF members for their generous act. She explained to them how the SPCA is operating and what challenges they face.According to Beadon, they take 500 to 600 dogs monthly, and they can’t turn them away because they lack space and, they make ends meet.

She added that they do fundraising events to generate funds to maintain the institution and make sure they never run out of food for the animals. “We rely on sponsors and donors to keep this place running, and I recommend that people ask their neighbours and friends to donate items they no longer use,” said Beadon. The CPF members received treats to give to the dogs while touring the SPCA premises and they were showed different corners and different breeds of dogs.Taygon Boshoff helped pack away the items that were handed over to the SPCA.
