Staff file photoOn Monday, popular restaurant and entertainment venue Mi Casa Tamales announced on its Facebook page it would close at the end of the year. The business will continue to sell tamales through the holiday season.
"Hello everyone! It is with heavy hearts that we announce we will officially be closing the doors to Mi Casa Tamales at the end of this year. As this was not an easy decision, we are excited to say we will still be under the same ownership but rebranding & remodeling to become a faster & better establishment for our customers," the Facebook post said."We will continue to be a full restaurant and bar while also maintaining our party spaces.
No additional details about the new restaurant concept were immediately available. A phone call to Mi Casa Tamales went unanswered Tuesday. In addition to tamales, the restaurant serves a wide range of menu items, including enchiladas, fajitas and tacos. The business, which opened 15 years ago at 25930 I-10 W., has become a popular destination for family gatherings, parties and live music.
