The body of a 57-year-old man was retrieved from the waters at Changi Point Ferry Terminal on the eve of Chinese New Year. Photos of the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) at the scene were posted on Reddit.

Onlookers called the police when he didn’t resurface after a few minutes.
"Search continued well into the night, with floodlights to assist. His slippers and can of beer are shown in the last pic."In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted on Feb 9 at about 4.15pm to a case of suspected drowning near 51 Lorong Bekukong, which is the address for Changi Point Ferry Point.
A Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore patrol craft and an SCDF Marine Rescue Vessel were deployed to search for the man in the waters.Preliminary investigations do not suspect foul play, said the police, adding that investigations are ongoing.Body of 85-year-old man found floating in Clementi canal on New Year's Eve
