Bodies of another 5 water surge victims recovered
The bodies of five more missing victims of the water surge incident in Jeram Mawar, Air Putih have been recovered, in addition to the two found in the morning. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, July 3, 2023.
Terengganu police chief Mazli Mazlan said all seven victims found today were located in Sectors A and B covering a 25km radius within the 32km-wide incident site. “There were two adult males, one adult female and two boys and two girls. Four of them have yet to be identified,” Mazli told a press conference at the Air Putih police station operations control centre today.
The 10 individuals having a picnic at the Jeram Air Putih waterfall were swept away by a water surge phenomenon on Saturday.
