Blackwater signs rookie Christian David to 2-year deal

Blackwater inked a two-year rookie deal with rookie Christian David on Monday, September 25.

The Bossing team owner Dioceldo Sy said he's elated to lock up the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft's second overall pick.'I'm extremely happy to have a Christopher David join Blackwater! Perfect back up for Troy Rosario,' Sy told The Manila Times.'Hope we can be a serious contender this coming conference together with our import Christopher Ortiz.

'The 6-foot-6 is coming off a short stint with the Seoul Samsung Thunder in the Korean Basketball League.The 25-year-old Butler product was selected after highly-touted Filipino-American guard Stephen Holt in this year's rookie draft.David submitted 1.17 points and 1.50 rebounds in his fifth and final year with Butler.He is seen as a vital piece for the Bossing, who are hoping to shed their doormat image following the signing of veteran PBA coach Jeff Cariaso a few months back.
