GEORGE TOWN: Police caught 20 people flouting the conditional movement control order (MCO) at two birthday parties in separate apartment units in Mansion One along Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah on Tuesday (June 2).
The first group, comprising eight male and three female students, aged 13 to 17, were arrested and remanded for four days.
“The students were remanded for four days to help in investigations under Sections 12 and 15 of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and under Regulation 7 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Disease Regulations. Meanwhile, an outing for 16 people here at a restaurant in Gurney Plaza ended with all them being compounded for violating the conditional MCO.
