She says many of her patients are concerned about losing access to contraception in the future, so they “just want to get it done and over with.” Tubal ligation is currently covered by most health-insurance plans, though some patients fear that could change post-Roe. “This is a moment of emotional crisis for a lot of patients,” Dr. K says.
