Cape Town’s charming anti-litter mascot, Bingo, is on the move, and his latest stop was the Delft Library on Friday, 6 October.
Alderman Grant Twigg, Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Waste Management, joined Bingo to spread an essential message.
As an integral aspect of the #SpringCleanCT campaign, Bingo and the team are maintaining their focus on the dangers of littering and illegal dumping, as well as the significance of recycling to reduce waste. This led them to eagerly participate in the holiday programme and engage with the kids. He noted that even at a young age, these children intuitively understood the importance of preventing litter and reducing waste. He emphasised that many residents seemed to have lost sight of this reality and interventions like this could rekindle that understanding. By working together, we can create cleaner and more positive spaces for future generations.
