.billieeilish and lizzo scored GRAMMYs nominations in all 4 of the major categories -- the first time two artists have ever done it in the same year.
Wednesday's nominations prove that Lizzo's reign isn't letting up anytime soon. With eight GRAMMY nomination, she is the most-nominated artist of the year. In addition to the big four, she is nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance , Best R&B Performance , Best R&B Performance and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
Eilish, meanwhile, collected a total of six nominations, including for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. In addition to making GRAMMYs history alongside Lizzo, 17-year-old Eilish is the youngest artist to ever achieve this feat, a fact she couldn't quite believe whenEilish said ."I still haven't thought about it. I don't think I will be on stage, you know? I think it's so weird when people think they're going to be huge. God, that's so weird. I never in a million years would have thought this sh*t would happen."
