An NBA Hall of Famer, broadcaster, and member of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team, Bill Walton, has passed away from cancer at 71.

He was 71.The NBA announced Walton's death Monday.NBA commissioner Adam Silver released a statement on the two-time NBA champion.'Bill Walton was truly one of a kind,' Silver said. 'As a Hall of Fame player, he redefined the center position.
The College Basketball Hall of Famer is a two-time NCAA champion, three-time National College Player of the Year, and a three-time Consensus first-team All-American.Walton was the Portland Trail Blazers' No. 1 pick in the 1974 NBA Draft. He spent 10 seasons in the NBA and was named a two-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA, 1977-78 NBA MVP, two-time All-Defense, and the 1985-86 Sixth Man.
