New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick took in a Taylor Swift concert this summer at Gillette Stadium.
Even Bill Belichick is all aboard the Taylor Swift train.
The Patriots head coach said he caught a show at Gillette Stadium during the superstar’s summer tour and was blown away by Swift’s commitment to performing in the face of a heavy rainstorm in Foxborough, Mass.“She is tough, man. She just stood out there and played right through [the rain].” The eight-time Super Bowl winner isn’t quite sure whether he can label himself a Swiftie yet, though.
“Officially?” Belichick asked when prodded about if he was in fact a Swiftie. “I don’t know about that … What does that mean, like you have a sweatshirt or something?”Belichick said he enjoyed Swift’s show.Belichick, 71, known for his stoic, sarcastic demeanor with the media, mentioned he was a fan of one particular Swift megahit: Her 2019 song “You Need to Calm Down” from her album “Lover.”
“I’m definitely on the, ‘You’ve Got to Calm Down.’ That’s pretty good like, you’ve got to calm down. There’s a lot of times when that’s very appropriate. You’ve got to calm down.”
