Hall accounted for four touchdowns in Big Spring's 47-0 win over Newport

Yes, the Bulldogs were upended by former division rival Greencastle-Antrim in the opener, but that near miss helped fuel Big Spring’s counter vs. Shippensburg and Newport. Outscoring those final two foes by a combined 68-7 should continue to generate dividends when the Bulldogs open the Mid-Penn Capital Division slate this week. The role was expected from the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder, who collected more than 1,000 yards from scrimmage and posted 12 touchdowns a season ago.

Grant was at it again vs. Newport, turning five carries into 81 rushing yards and two scores. He also turned five receptions into 119 yards and two touchdowns as Big Spring improved to 2-1 overall with a 47-0 victory. Hall certainly caught the attention of PennLive voters, who named the Big Spring standout as player of the week for games played Sept. 8-9.
