.RepNancyMace slammed POTUS's trip to Asia and urged him to cancel while lawmakers negotiate a way to raise the debt ceiling. 'I think it’s deeply problematic...that the president is traveling out of country,' Mace said.
Mace said Biden should be working with lawmakers on a compromise ahead of the June 1 deadline instead of spending seven days in Japan, Australia, and Papua New Guinea.“Leaving the country right now is not where he should be,” Mace told CNN.
Mace said it was important that both sides work together to avoid the economic crisis that would ensue if the U.S. defaults on its loans for the first time in history. The U.S. reached its debt limit in January.
