'If they believe Tara Reade they probably shouldn’t vote for me,' says Joe Biden. 'I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade.'
Former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday again denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a staffer in the 1990s, and offered frank advice to prospective voters disturbed by the accusations.
— Joe Biden In an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell” Thursday night, Biden said he doesn’t remember accuser Tara Reade, but said she deserves to be heard. Reade claims that Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993 when she was working as an aide in his Senate office. She has said she filed a harassment complaint at the time, but it did not mention the alleged assault. Reade has called for Biden to drop out of the presidential race.
