Congressional lawmakers are raising alarm over President Joe Biden's special envoy to Iran, who came under investigation by the FBI after his security clearance with the State Department was suspended earlier this year.
Issa, a longtime oversight hawk and senior House Foreign Affairs Committee member, had asked the FBI to provide him with information about its inquiry into Malley, which was reported by Semafor in July. In addition to Issa, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Rep. Glenn Grothman asked the State Department on Oct. 10 to provide a number of documents and communications related to Malley as well as to provide his committee with a staff-level briefing about him.
Democrats have yet to allow the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to hold a hearing about this. This is disgraceful. pic.twitter.com/qsWyZLEmYY
