The Huntsville Police Department said in a press release that officers responded at 1:15 p.m. to a report of a person waiving a weapon at The Timbers apartment complex located at 144 I-45. Police say they were told the man was acting "erratically" and brandishing a gun in the parking lot between two buildings.
When officers arrived, they made contact with the suspect at his apartment, and then gunfire was exchanged.The officer was taken to Conroe and is in stable condition.
