Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon expressed grief over the passing of three students in the city before their graduation.
The parents of students Edcel, Renz Narez and Pauline at the graduation ceremonies in Muntinlupa Biazon said that in his 22 years in public service, this was the first time to witness students who were posthumously awarded with their diplomas.
One of them, he said, was Pauline Tensuan, who graduated cum laude with an Information Technology degree at the city-run Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. She passed away due to an illness. Two public elementary school students also died before their graduation. Renz Narez, a grade 6 student of Alabang Elementary School, passed away on July 4 while Edcel Gabiana, a grade 3 student of Tunasan Elementary School who completed the level with honors, also died a few days before the ceremony.
